Intraventricular conduction delay (IVCD)
Also calledIVCD · intraventricular conduction delay · nonspecific intraventricular conduction delay · NSIVCD · nonspecific IVCD · nonspecific intraventricular conduction disturbance
Definition
A widening of the QRS that does not meet the specific criteria for either right or left bundle branch block. It can arise from disease in the distal conduction system or in the ventricular muscle, which slows the cell-to-cell spread of activation. In adults it is diagnosed when the QRS duration is over 110 ms and neither a typical RBBB nor a typical LBBB pattern is present.
